Spacial Dynamics® is a movement practice that works with the body and the personal space as an integral part of the person.
All aspects of life contain a movement component. Working out of an image of an ideal state, Spacial Dynamics® accesses the movement behind physical movement, emotions, patterns, restrictions and limitations, and offers students an experience of how things could be different. Movement gestures, exercises and principles building on and practicing this provide tools for lasting change.
In Spacial Dynamics®, every area of the body has an ideal movement gesture and direction. Noticing what happens on 'auto-pilot' and learning to change it empowers students to initiate change in their lives.
Spacial Dynamics® exercises can promote a sense of well-being within and around the body, allowing its bones, joints, muscles, organs, breath and circulation to function with greater ease and efficiency. Students report increased clarity and ability to direct and focus their attention, greater range of motion and reduction of pain.
Developed by Jaimen McMillan, Spacial Dynamics® includes a variety of movement exercises, principles, specialized activities, and a unique approach to posture. Spacial Dynamics® has been successfully applied in education, therapy, special education, business, the arts, and sports; it can enhance any activity from elite athletics to washing the dishes.
