At MoveAbility, we like things to be simple. We strive to provide consistent high quality service to each one of our clients. You won't find many gadgets or fancy promotions. Here is our ongoing deal for client appreciation:
We offer a sliding fee scale based on mutual trust (see 'Fees' for more information).
For every new client you refer, you receive an email certificate for a free massage or movement consultation after that client's second appointment.
We may occasionally make additional treatment enhancements available and keep a few surprises up our sleeve.
Gift Certificates are available for all services. Here is our no-risk policy: If the recipient has not redeemed the certificate by the expiration date, the person who bought it becomes eligible to use it themselves within 2 months of the original expiration date.
MoveAbility provides therapeutic massage and movement re-education to people with all degrees of ability in the greater Saratoga Springs, NY area.
For clients whose condition prevents them from coming to the office, we may be able to arrange house-calls. Please feel free to inquire.
MoveAbility adheres to all state regulations regarding bodywork, including the NY state mandatory draping.
MoveAbility engages in sustainable business practices wherever possible. Organic cotton sheets, washed with environmentally safe and hypoallergenic detergent, are used for table and mat treatments.
Water is served in reusable cups rather than disposables. Natural, non-toxic cleaning supplies are used for the office space, and recycled furniture and supplies are used as much as possible.
Pure organic Jojoba oil, well tolerated by people with allergies, is used unless otherwise discussed, leaving your skin well nourished and without feeling greasy.
Warm rice/bean bags or towels may be used for client comfort and therapeutic application.
We realize that musical tastes differ and encourage you to bring your favorite soothing music for your bodywork appointment.
If possible, treatments take place on the massage table or Thai Yoga mat, assuring client comfort and ergonomic access for the practitioner. If need be, modified treatments can be given bedside.
Certain conditions may require clearance from a physician before massage therapy can begin.
Please note that a brief conversation about the goals for your appointment is part of each session. An additional 15 minutes is scheduled with the initial visit to allow for a thorough assessment and health history.
MoveAbility is building connections to health practitioners in the area whose expertise serves clients with needs other than those addressed within the scope of our practice.
MoveAbility features one local or global charity per month and donates a percentage of its profits. Information on the charity of the month will be available, and clients are invited to join us in fundraising for these causes.
Late arrival: We understand that there may be situations that prevent you from arriving for your appointment on time. We will make every effort to work with you as much as possible, without compromising the next client's scheduled time.
Cancellation Policy: Your appointment time has been reserved for You. If you are unable to keep the appointment, please call us 24 hours in advance to avoid charges and allow someone else to take advantage of that time.
As you can see, MoveAbility is a bit of an unusual business. We are looking forward to working with you as one of our proactive clients!
